Your file never leaves this page. There is no server behind this tool. The conversion happens in your browser using JavaScript — you can open your developer tools and watch: no network request is made with your data. Disconnect from the internet after loading the page and it still works.

How to use this tool
- In WhatsApp, open the chat and tap ⋮ → More → Export chat, then choose Without media.
- Send the
.txtto your computer — email it to yourself, or save it to your cloud drive. - Drop that file above. Everything from here happens in your browser.
- Optionally narrow the date range, then press Save as PDF.
- In the print dialog, set Destination to Save as PDF.
In the print dialog, open More settings and tick Headers and footers. Browsers will not let a web page draw its own page numbers, so this is the only way to get them here — it also adds the date and URL to each page. If you need clean numbered pages with a participant header and no browser furniture, the Android app does its own pagination.
Why there is no upload
A chat you are converting is often the most sensitive file you own — a custody dispute, a harassment record, the last messages from someone who died. Most online converters ask you to upload that to a stranger's server. This one reads the file with the browser's own FileReader and never sends it anywhere. That is also why it works offline.
What this tool does not do
- Media. A
.zipexport with photos is not supported here — use the app. - Its own page numbers. Browsers reserve that; see the note above.
- Very large files. Above roughly 20 MB of text your browser may struggle. The app handles far larger chats.
